Music Together
St. John Preschool is a licensed provider of the Music Together™Preschool Program.  As part of the Music Together curriculum, Music Together specialists teach music and movement classes for children in the preschool in cooperation with their classroom teachers. Classroom teachers then follow through on the weekly sessions, adapting activities to their curriculum needs and interests. Recordings, songbooks, and teaching materials are provided to each classroom, and children " bring the music home" for parent child musical play, sharing the songs and activities learned in school.  Children learn from the model of music participation set by both parents and classroom teachers.  The joy of extended family music in school and at home creates a natural circle of learning that builds parent- child, parent-teacher, and parent- school relationships.

Enrichment Programs

Our curriculum and facilities provide a rich environment for learning and growth.  It is developed in conjunction with Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards.  During the school year we have special activities including; Acting Out, Animal Embassy, Farmer Minor & Daisy the Pig, Storytellers, Fireman Bob, and Darien Library.

We offer a lunch bunch program on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 12:00 to 1:45 pm.  Sign up is on a month-to-month basis. Lunch Bunch is available to your child on the days that he/she attends school.
